Banana come under list of favourite food for people aiming at weight loss. Bananas that are of 8 inch contain 100 calories. The calories in banana are fat free calories. They are also  have rich fiber content that are essential for metabolism. Banana have a low glycemic index. Glycemic index is the rate by which the carbohydrates are released into the body from food. The low glycemic index  prevents the glucose level going high or low suddenly, thus decreasing the urge to eat and making your stomach feel fuller for long time.
